  1. Preventing and addressing health misinformation is a major priority for the Surgeon General. In a new Surgeon General’s Advisory and Community Toolkit for Addressing Health Misinformation, the Surgeon General is warning the American public about the urgent threat of health misinformation and calling for a whole-of-society approach to address health misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. During the COVID-19 pandemic, people have been exposed to an abundance of information from a large number of sources. Misinformation has caused confusion and led people to decline COVID-19 vaccines, reject public health measures such as masking and physical distancing, and use unproven treatments.
  2. The HHS "We Can Do This" campaign is a national initiative working hand in hand with trusted leaders and community organizations to continue to build confidence in COVID-19 vaccines and get more people vaccinated. This campaign offers tailored resources and toolkits for stakeholders to use to provide COVID-19 vaccine information to at-risk populations.
  3. The Brown School of Public Health and Rockefeller Foundation Release recently released a COVID-19 Testing Communications Toolkit which provides messaging, illustrations, pre-made social posts, and handouts that are easy to download and use. The COVID-19 Testing Communications Toolkit is a free, public resource for anyone looking to communicate the importance of COVID-19 testing to communities across America. The evidence-based tutorials, handouts, and image library will help communicators translate public health goals into motivating, clear messages that educate Americans about why, when, and where to get tested — even if they feel healthy. These materials are available in multiple languages. Plus, add style to message with their custom-designed asset library. The images, animations, handouts, and templates are all completely free and available for unrestricted public use.
